Reiki is awesome! I wasn't sure of it at first, but I decided to have a long distance Reiki session since I was living in a different state than Lori at the time. I was experiencing a lot of pain following knee surgery. At the arranged date and time, I positioned myself where I could feel comfortable (my bedroom) as Lori instructed. Then, I literally felt a pleasant "release" of pain. Later, Lori gave me another Reiki session in person on the ocean shore, helping me with an elbow issue. Lori’s presence is very calming, and if you have any hesitation about Reiki or any kind of Wellness program then I highly recommend Lori Pino.

I have had the opportunity to receive Reiki treatment under two different circumstances. First, I was dealing with acute grief. Lori’s approach was very comforting. With her help I was able to avoid depression and despair. She helped me find inner peace and a calming sense of the presence of a departed loved one.

My name is Liisa and I’m an 86-year-old retiree in my home country of Finland. For the last 10 years, I have suffered from joint pains in my knees, hip and lower back and a year ago I was also diagnosed with osteoporosis. In addition to traditional pain medications, I have used a variety of ointments and gels for pain management. I’ve also used Peroxin 0.5% gel which is a medication commonly used in Europe. A year ago, I received salve which was made by Lori Pino and her remedy has proved to be the quickest way to relieve the pain and lasting longer than any other medication and treatment I have used. The term herbalist and herbalism tends to conjure up new age images of a middle aged woman with white hair in a small shop offering a distraught customer a cup of steaming chamomile tea. (With Enya playing in the background.) Ms. Pino shatters that image. She can make her own root medicines into salves, creams, infusions, tinctures, vinegars, steams, and a dozen other concoctions each one specific to a client’s needs. This skill was acquired after a ten-year apprenticeship. Only one other person has successfully completed an apprenticeship program at the herbal school she trained at.

Lori volunteered with VETERANS AND EQUINES TOGETHER on two occasions, utilizing her equine Reiki talents with our horses after they had spent time in equine-assisted therapy sessions. It was amazing to see them melt into her arms, releasing energy and relaxing after they so willingly spent time with our veteran population supporting them. I would highly recommend Lori’s Equine Therapy for any horse as their “gift” or “thank you” for everything they do for us. Lori Pino has been a ‘go to person’ in my life as far as my various health needs are concerned. I will begin with her work as an Herbalist. As a result of her knowledge of plants (for many years now) she has produced a salve that I use for cuts, irritations and most importantly, arthritis in my knees. The results have been very good. Lori also supplies me with an oil called Thieves Oil which I swear by! Anytime I feel a slight tinge of illness like a cold coming on I put a dab of the oil under my nose and by morning the tinge is no longer there.

I was always skeptical about Reiki even though I have seen and performed hands on healings due to my cultural training as curandero (herbalist). But as a person under chronic pain due to a spinal injury there are days where I am unable to get out of bed due to the agony. And I do call it agony. During the times when I absolutely needed to get moving Ms. Pino's abilities to use Reiki eased my pain from a 9 to a 2 and sometimes a 1. She has a calm and empathetic manner and has completely turned me into a believer.

Lori is easy to talk to. She is very non-judgmental which makes me comfortable. She helps me put things in perspective and formulate goals. My favorite part of our sessions is the guided meditations. I leave the conversation feeling refreshed and relaxed. She has been there for me through several crises, and I am so glad she was.
