  • Reiki has been reported to benefit a wide range of conditions, from minor ailments like headaches and colds to more serious illnesses such as cancer and heart disease. It may also alleviate the side effects of medical treatments, including chemotherapy and surgery. While some individuals have experienced remarkable healing, it's important to note that Reiki is often used as a complementary therapy alongside traditional medical care. Many people find that Reiki helps reduce stress and promotes overall well-being, leading to improvements in both physical and mental health.

  • Reiki II introduces three powerful symbols, including one for distance healing. By visualizing the recipient, writing their name, or simply focusing on their intention, you can send Reiki energy across any distance. This means you can heal loved ones, support those in crisis, or even contribute to global healing efforts.

  • Yes, Reiki is considered a complementary therapy.

Reiki is often used in conjunction with traditional medical treatments to enhance healing and promote overall well-being. While it is not a substitute for medical care, many people find Reiki beneficial for managing stress, anxiety, and pain.

  • Reiki is easy to learn and doesn't require any prior experience. Anyone can learn it, regardless of age or background. The ability to practice Reiki is transferred through a process called attunement during a Reiki class. Once attuned, you can immediately begin practicing Reiki by placing your hands on yourself or others with the intention of healing. The energy will flow automatically.

  • Reiki is a spiritual healing practice that focuses on the flow of energy in the body. Unlike traditional forms of therapy, such as massage or physical manipulation, Reiki does not involve any physical manipulation of bodily tissues or joints. Instead, practitioners place their hands gently on or near the recipient’s body to facilitate the transfer of healing energy. The goal of Reiki is to promote relaxation, reduce stress, and encourage emotional and physical healing by balancing the body's energy fields.

  • Reiki translates to "universal life force energy" in Japanese. This unseen energy is believed to flow throughout all living things, and when balanced, it contributes to a state of physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Imbalanced energy, on the other hand, can manifest as stress, anxiety, or even physical discomfort.

  • The ideal frequency of Reiki treatments can vary depending on individual needs and goals. Here are some general guidelines:

    • For Acute Issues: Consider a series of 3-5 weekly or bi-weekly sessions to address specific concerns like pain, stress, or illness.

    • For Maintenance and Wellness: Monthly or bi-monthly sessions can help maintain overall well-being, reduce stress, and boost immunity.

Ultimately, the best approach is to listen to your body and consult with your Reiki practitioner. Remember, self-Reiki practice can complement professional sessions and provide ongoing benefits.
